"I look at theatre as one of the most precise and effective artistic tools available today. Theatre is the Boyce bus of "direct democracy", it has something that cinema and exhibitions do not have, for example - the possibility of direct contact, direct dialogue between man and man. I define theatre as an opportunity - we have a space, two hours of time, we can spend them as we please. I propose to think of theatre as a place where a person can realise and experience a certain experience, form a skill, and then repeat it beyond the boundaries of the theatre, in real life. And the most important experience that art can offer a person at the moment is the experience of freedom. Freedom is a skill, it is the ability to make choices on one's own. And a skill can be trained, or, in theatre parlance, rehearsed".
